And the clock striked twelve
No cinderella didn't run off by herself
But everyone came together
And wished each other happiness in the new year

The year two thousand and nine
Hopefully a year of many good times
It's a line everyone wants to believe
But it's too hard to cast our beliefs

Through these somewhat hard times
May we all find new inspirations, new ups in our lives
May we all look far ahead
Look to those wonderful years that await

Two thousand and nine is only the beginnning
So lift your spirits, another year is commencing
Put on those hopes, we'll get by I'm sure
After all, we need to let go of some excess pressure
