Ping Pong Song?

Puahhaha, I was randomly on youtube watching some old dance videos and I clicked on this vid with a group called Operator Please singing "Just A Song about Ping Pong" and THEN, this is the interesting part, I saw Enrique Iglesias's song "Do You Know? (ping pong song)" so I was all curious and I clicked and HAHAHAHHA the whole song's beat was the sound of a ping pong ball being hit! Interesting really cause it's a love song obviously but er I totally ignored the song and focused on listening to the ping pong beat and then didn't even finish the whole song. I wonder what went through the composer/producer's mind when they decided to put that in...ping pongs?
