Seeing as how it's JYP's first ever girl group, I jumped at downloading Wonder Girls (원더걸스) first single which only made me feel Baby Vox ReV was a better listen even though out of the whole Baby Vox ReV i only liked one song (the first track).
For those of you a bit lost here, JYP is the entertainment company which Rain is in and if Rain is a big hit, i expected the other groups they produce to be as good. However that wasn't the case.
The songs really give you a vibe where it sounds like some song Rain would sing or have in his album (maybe it's the way JYP picks songs). The songs are actually really very nice but the girls' vocals are just bland which makes you feel someone else could sing the song better. The way they sing it doesn't make the song interesting, so it comes across as boring. Also, not to mention how they all actually sound the same to me. You know how See Ya or Baby Vox ReV has at least one female which has stronger vocals, Wonder Girls all sound the same (save the one that raps a bit).
Track 1, Irony (아이러니) is the usual upbeat song you would find in any Rain's album (Like Rain's Coming). The intro to this song is really nice and to compare out of the 3 tracks and one Remix in this album, I like this song (not their vocals; THE SONG).
Track 2, Bad Boy is another one of those songs where i would listen to once and halfway skip it. Unless of course a music video of this song comes out and it shows some extremely good dance moves, i find this song boring. This song reminds me of how i viewed Rain's I'm coming before i watched him dance the music video.
Track 3, 미안한 마음 which is Mianhan Maum sounds like through the whole song there's one lead vocal and the rest are backup vocals. Wonder Girls consists of 5 girls for heaven's sake!
Track 4, Irony (Tae Kwon-Daybreak Remix.) the remix totally sounds nicer than the original. Enough said.
