Just a Thought
I've just finished watching "Slow Dance" today. It's a Japanese Drama starring Tsumabuki Satoshi, Fukatsu Eri, Hirosue Ryoko and Fujiki Naohito. Click HERE for more info and cast
The cast is absolutely fabulous however the storyline a bit...hahah ordinary? The story revolves around the loves lives of the characters in it and how love can come unexpectedly and i find it interesting cause these things happen in real life. Not like those korean or taiwan dramas where love seems to come so easily, this drama portrays love where people actually don't realise it's love and after beating around the bush, they come to face the realities of it. Also, this drama touches on how we divert away from our childhood dreams because of circumstances and how we don't realise it till it's too late.
I love the theme song in Slow Dance XD it's just perfect for the drama (all slow and lovey dovey hahah...). However, if you prefer entertaining stuff, this drama is not the one cause it's a bit too cheesy...
oh and spoiler here (unless you've read the reviews by ppl who have watched it) is that this story is about an older woman with a young man (Tsumabuki and Fukatsu)...hahah...oh~ and this leads me to my next train of thought where "WHAT'S UP WITH OLDER WOMEN AND YOUNGER MEN???"
It's like the trend for dramas now...good examples would be "My Lovely Sam Soon/ My Name Is Kim Sam Soon" (Korean), "Devil beside you" (Taiwan) and "Slow Dance" (Japanese). And the thing i don't get about it is...why does it always mention younger men DATING older women? How bout marrying them??!!
Fact is, not many men are willing to MARRY older women...a survey done by our Psychology students among single (unmarried) males and females the age 18-30 shows that men are less willing to Marry women older than them by 5 years as compared to Date them...haha..the realities in life XD
Men want physically attractrive and younger women because there's the term "Trophy Wife" right? A beautiful and young wife shows the status of this man and friends would praise him for his "catch" which boosts his ego no? hahaha...women however are quite realistic in terms of marrying as well la...this i admit...women are more willing to marry men who are financially stable (best is earning much much more than women themselves) compared to men who are physically attractive. Heck, what is more important than to be secure financially...no? hahah...
anyway, my ratings for this drama would be herm...a 9/10? love the characters in the show la XD Tsumabuki and Fujiki are just too good looking to not give this drama marks...heheh...
*note: my sis says Tsumabuki looks like "Chan Kim Fong" from those TVB dramas...except Tsumabuki is shorter.
