Hello UNIQLO

I still remember my mom, sis and I going crazy over the pretty clothes in UNIQLO when we were in Shanghai, and how I complained that these clothes couldn't be bought in Malaysia.

Lo and behold, one day as I was job searching, dy dropped me a message on an ad hiring for UNIQLO Malaysia! I saw the ad past the application date so there wasn't anything I could do but man, it's been a year and finally UNIQLO has opened!

Even doggie was bored while waiting in line

*yawn* woke up at 6.40am that day cause me and dy were like okay, we need to be one of the first 500 to hit the opening of UNIQLO Kuala Lumpur for that chance to win a trip to Japan!

Thankfully, the traffic headed towards the city centre wasn't bad so we got there fairly quickly. The moment we got to Fahrenheit 88, the line outside of UNIQLO wasn't as long as we expected, so we took a detour to McD to get some breakfast.

The moment we walked back, to our amazement they had a new line set up! But the good thing was, we weren't that far behind...

See those people? They weren't in the line before...

So yeah, while we were lining up and thinking happy thoughts of the long lines behind us, these guys started cutting our queue and it wasn't one or two, but THREE guys who came in one by one cause their friend had lined up for them and they just decided to join in =_="

Hello UNIQLO!

This was how the store looked like before it got swarmed by people after the opening. Love the crisp, clean look of white and red!

The card was really well made and pretty

Ah, after waiting in line for a bit, the card that meant you stood a chance to win the trip to Japan came :) And I was number 274! Me and dy really loved the way they made the card, so much so we had thoughts of not submitting it in so we could keep it.

Yes I love covering my face on purpose :)

Fill in your details, buy something from UNIQLO, attach the receipt and you're good to go! It was also nice to see one of the management level people giving out the cards to each one in line and telling them "thank you for waiting".

So while we were inside getting all excited over the card, this was how it looked like right outside the store--very orderly. A seriously huge thumbs up to the security for the very very orderly queue everyone was made to stand in. No pushing, no cutting queues, no fuss.

Looking pro~

While walking around the front of the store, saw a fellow colleague from The Breakfast Show! Obviously he was there to cover the opening so you can see what went on that day.

"Hello, welcome to UNIQLO!"

The friendly staff who greeted, bowed, and smiled the whole time! An amazingly helpful group of people, sans a staff who said the store didn't have polo tees when they actually do (but that's besides the point).

UNIQLO is so unique that their opening didn't have those usual ribbony things you see but a UNIQLO banner! Branding all over the photos taken, very smart!

About 10 minutes to 11am, the honourable VIP, guests including the lovely Maya Karin, and Mr Kevin, who waited in line for the opening from 10pm the night before, were all ready to cut and officiate the opening of UNIQLO Kuala Lumpur!

It was worth it getting up early and getting into the store, cause I went on the 3rd day and gosh, so many things were already gone from the racks! Even the leggings that were going for a special price of RM9.90 on the first day was back to its RM24.90 price!

Ah, needless to say I definitely enjoyed my week :D
